Claudio Monteverdi opera ‘Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria’ production invites audience to revisit the mythological story of Ulisse in the context of our times. Who is Ulisses today, when the concept of patria and home coming got so recomplex and ambivalent when so many people can not or do not want to go back to their homelands. The main protagonist Ulisse is portraid on the stage by the bodies and the stories of local migrants. Set design is designed as archive – a storage space for stories and memories. All stories are conserved and are being revealed to the audience by protagonists. The colors of the costumes derive of the skin and hair color of each individual artists so in that way multitude of bodies and stories can be presented on the stage.
