Scenography for the Grand Music Award 2016 ceremony is designed as contemporary art installation. Stylized stave lines are creating stage space by surrounding musicians and framing video projection screen. Video projections are continuing dynamic art installation, adding movement and visual depth to the stage. The geometry of the installation and black and white color contrasts with symmetry, richness of detailing and materiality of classical opera interior. Stave lines are made of 15 cm wide polycarbonate sheets in two layers with total length of 1,2km. Plastic absorbs light and diffuses it through entire volume of the art installation.
